After fourteen years together, Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis have decided to end their relationship. In a statement, Depp's publicist said that the pair "have amicably separated."

The two reportedly drifted apart after Depp moved from France to Los Angeles, and haven't been seen attending red carpet events together in over a year.

Their relationship began back in 1998, when Depp spotted the model/actress with friends at the bar of the Costes Hotel in Paris, and had a colleague invite her to his table. They wound up talking for two hours. A romance blossomed, and shortly after that they moved in together. They lived in Plan-de-la-Tour in the south of France for several years. They have two children together, but have never been married.

"I love the romance of 'let's get married,' but then, when you have it so perfect ... I mean, I'm more married than anybody can be– we have two kids," Paradis once Elle. "Maybe one day, but it's something I can really do without."
