47-year-old Tuan Huynh of LowerGwynedd, Pa., gave his daughter justifiable reason to hate him forever after leaving her on a street corner because she was failing calculus. Huynh allegedly told the 16-year-old to pack clothes and a blanket, before driving her to the intersection of Cheltenham Avenue and Washington Lane in Cheltenham, Pa., leaving her 15 miles from home with no cellphone.
The aspiring classical pianist gave police an alias at first, but the music books she had with her had revealed her true name. Afterwards, she told them that she had been ordered not to reveal her identity. She proceeded to tell them she was temporarily homeless for not living up to her parent's academic expectations.
Huynh entered a guilty plea for endangering the welfare of a child under 18. He was sentenced to two years probation and 100 hours of community service. It's understandable for parents to want their children to be the best, but when you're a complete asshole about it, you push them away. Don't forget that.
