Jess started gaming in 1989 at the ripe age of six years old. When she received her first, second-hand NES, "I remember my Aunt saying 'It's buggy, but it works.'" I didn't go near it for the first few days because I thought there were actual bugs in it."

It wasn't until 1996 when she plugged into the Internet that Jess experienced the world of PC gaming. "Thinking back,” she said, “I don't even know how I managed to game on my first computer. I think I had 8MB of RAM." Almost a decade later, she discovered MMORPGs and suffered from online gaming addiction for 2 years. "I only really stopped when my guild fell apart. I had no one to play with and I wasn't about to start recruiting again."

Jess' love for video games hasn't faded but has evolved into a a career in writing about her very passion. We spoke to her all about it in our interview with her.
