FX has been on a roll with comedies in the past few years - namely, with hits like Louie and Wilfred - so it's understandable that we were all waiting with bated breath for their next winning pick-up. The new series Legit, from what Deadline is reporting, may be just that.

The show stars Australian comedian Jim Jefferies, and is about a comedian of the same name and his "misguided attempts to become legitimate in life ... He is encouraged in his quest by his best friend Steve (Dan Bakkedahl), and Steve’s brother Billy (D.J. Qualls)." The series was co-created by Jefferies and former showrunner for The Riches, Peter O'Fallon. It's set to debut sometime in January 2013.
