After accidentally confirming that Fire Emblem Awakening would be coming to western audiences at E3, Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime officially proclaimed that Fire Emblem 3DS will be coming to North America in 2013.

The logo for the game's western release, shown during last night's Nintendo Direct livestream, simply says "Fire Emblem", implying that the game could be branded as a reboot in North America.

Fils-Aime confirmed that, like the Japanese version, Awakening will have some sort of paid DLC available after the game's release. In Japan, players can download characters from past Fire Emblem games, including Marth, Roy, and Micaiah. FIls-Aime did not specify what kind of DLC would support the North American release.
