Connecticut Man Tries to Rob Woman at Knifepoint, Claims He Was Sleepwalking

Oh?

None

According to 27-year-old Winston Riley, he shouldn't be held accountable for trying to rob a woman at knifepoint in New London, Conn., because he was sleepwalking at the time. Riley told his attorney that he woke up on March 18 at the Mohegan Sun casino to a woman inexplicably fleeing from him in fear.

Riley's attorney, Nicholas D'Amato, confirmed that his client has struggled with sleepwalking since his childhood days. He added that he was beginning to gather medical evidence to present to prosecutors so they don't laugh him out of court.

Riley is due back in court on July 17, but his bond has been reduced from $100,000 to $85,000.
