When Public Enemy said that 911 was a joke, they weren't referring to the people making the emergency calls. In the wake of these shenanigans out of Connecticut, some joke rap crew should rewrite that to cover sandwich emergencies.
Rother McLennon, of East Hartford, was in deep trouble with the employees at Greatful Deli. “I specifically asked for little turkey, and little ham, a lot of cheese and a lot of mayonnaise and they are giving me a hard time," McLennon told the 911 dispatcher in a moment of mad earnestness. Possessing the patience of the saint, or at least that of Kevin Spacey's character in The Negotiator, the dispatcher talked McLennon down from the ledge. Crisis averted.
