For food from China's Henan province, there are surprisingly few options in New York. Thus it was with great delight that connoisseurs greeted He Nan Flavor (68B Forsyth St.), a spin-off of Flushing's Henan Feng Wei, when it originally opened. But now the dream is dead. Or dying.
He Nan Flavor has announced that it will only be open until the end of June. The owner insists the restaurant is only moving, and will reopen elsewhere in Chinatown. Rather than wait for this, hungry people should order the Spicy Big Tray of Chicken (second image) within the next few weeks. Remember: the Spicy Big Tray of Chicken, which is served in a wok, can feed a family of four.
