You knew it was coming. According to The Hollywood Reporter, director Robert Rodriguez has cast Charlie Sheen as the President of the United States in his upcoming exploitation flick Machete Kills.
In a tweet sent out by the director, he stated, “I just cast Charlie Sheen in #machetekills as the President of the United States! Who better? More soon…” And soon afterwards, Sheen retweeted the message, which is the modern way of breaking news in show business apparently.
In addition to starring alongside Danny Trejo, Sheen will join a pretty solid cast in the movie that includes knockouts like Jessica Alba, Amber Heard, Sofia Vergara, and Zoe Saldana. But most interestingly, he’ll also be sharing the screen with another infamous Hollywood star, Mel Gibson. This goes without saying, but we’re pretty sure this movie will create a bit of buzz when it gets released next year.
