If you were at all worried that the recent rash of zombie-like behavior amongst people - Flesh-eating! Intestine-tossing! More flesh-eating! Heart-eating tooMysterious rashes! Oh my! - is pointing to some sort of major zombie apocalypse on the horizon, the Centers for Disease Control would like you to know that there's nothing to worry about. For now.

In a statement released yesterday, agency spokesman David Daigle told the Huffington Post: "CDC does not know of a virus or condition that would reanimate the dead (or one that would present zombie-like symptoms)," he wrote, dismissing any "fictional viruses" like Ataxic Neurodegenrative Satiety Deficiency Syndrome to be the cause of the behavior.

So, there you have it. The CDC isn't worried, so we shouldn't be either. Everything is going to be fine, and there's no reason to freak out.

Then again...isn't that what they'd want us to believe?
