After being pronounced dead, a toddler in the city of Belém came back to life, reportedly asked his father for some water, and then died again. 2-year-old Kelvin Santos was initially declared dead as a result of pneumonia at Aberlardo Santos Hospital, and an hour before an open-casket funeral, the boy sat up and made the request, drawing screams from everyone.
Unfortunately, the boy laid down again and his family was unable to revive him. Demanding answers, his family took his body to the hospital, but doctors were unable to explain the incident and declared him dead once more. Kelvin’s family delayed the funeral hoping he would wake up again, but he never came around and the Santos family buried him.
Kelvin’s father, Antonio Santos, says he’s “determined” to find out how this happened, and police are currently investigating.
