The MIT Game Lab and Boston Indies, an independent game development community organization, plan to host the first annual Boston Festival of Indie Games, a large-scale showcase for independent game developers.

Alongside the presentation, the festival will feature a 12-hour Game Jam, a digital art exhibit, film screenings and guest speakers. The public can also vote to games "best in show" honors.

The event will be held at MIT on September 22nd. Admission is free, so if you think you're going to be in the area, you shouldn't hesitate to check it out. Admission fee is $15 for developers, and $10 for students. Registration isn't open yet, but if you're interested in submitting a game you can always take a look.
