Gordon Dinerman has decided to bring festive pizza and more to Third and Chestnut, and the result is Barra (239-241 Chestnut St.) in South Philly. Resting in the spot formerly known as Rocchino’s, chef Andrew Fox will ensure that classic Italian meals such as the requisite pasta dishes and scampi prawns are prepared to perfection. This place will pop off on weekends, as the kitchen will remain open until 1 a.m. and DJ’s will help patrons burn those calories.
