Aaron Johnson, Chloe Moretz, And Christopher Mintz-Plasse Likely To Return For "Kick-Ass 2"

Frankly, this movie needs more Nicolas Cage.

None

Fans of the first Kick-Ass shouldn't worry that the sequel will be filled with replacement actors and pointless new characters because Deadline is reporting that Universal Pictures is close to bringing back Aaron Johnson (Kick-Ass), Chloe Moretz (Hit-Girl), and Christopher Mintz-Plasse (Red Mist) from the original. The site is claiming that all three are well into negotiations and that the deals are nearly done.

There is no word yet on how closely this new installment will follow the Kick-Ass 2 comic that Mark Millar recently wrapped up. But the first movie was pretty faithful to the books, so it would seem like this one would be as well. The best news to come out of Deadline's article is that Nicolas Cage is also in negotiations to return for a cameo as Big Daddy, but no formal offer has been made yet.
