8,000 Prince George's County Public School high school seniors diplomas contained a pretty big error, misspelling the word "program" as "progam." A senior at Frederick Douglass High School in Upper Marlboro, Md., discovered the error last week and told a friend. Soon, all of her friends noticed their diplomas had the same error.
A PGCPS official confirmed that the error appeared on every diploma from the county, and said it was a vendor error. The vendor, National Quality Products, will pay to reprint the diplomas, which the students should receive in about six weeks. That cost of printing the misspelled diplomas was roughly $22,337.50.
