Two women in Alaska are facing misdemeanor charges after accidentally sending a text message to an Alaska State Trooper asking to illegally purchase alcohol off of him.

The town of Bethel, where both women live, is a dry town - it's 400 miles west of Anchorage, and no one's been cleared to sell booze of any kind there. Yes, their lives suck.

Anyway, the state trooper responded to set up a meeting with the women. When they showed up, he arrested them on the spot, and their initial reaction was probably thinking that they were much too sober for this. The case has been forwarded to the Bethel district attorney's office for review to determine if they should be charged with a misdemeanor.

Bet they could really use a drink right about now.
