A woman in Buffalo, New York, was arrested yesterday after police say she stole an ambulance from a local hospital where she was a patient, and led them on a near 100-mph chase through the city.

It all began early Sunday morning when the woman, 37-year-old Heather Sullivan, got into an ambulance at Erie County Medical Center and just drove off. Medical center police gave chase, causing Sullivan to reach dangerous speeds and nearly hit pedestrians and other vehicles. It finally ended when she crashed the ambulance into a parking lot wall.

Sullivan was arrested, and faces reckless endangerment, grand larceny, criminal possession of a stolen vehicle, and other charges.
