If you're looking to get more out of your iPad's movie-watching/music-playing capabilities, you won't do much better than the Beoplay A3, the new iPad speaker dock from Bang & Olufsen.
The Danish masters of high-end home theater equipment gave the A3 a minimalist wedge design, which allows you to orient the iPad in a variety of positions. The speakers are adaptive as well, so the top and side speakers turn off and on depending on how the system is oriented.
Like most things made by B&O, the Beoplay A3 is not for the faint of wallet. The dock costs $750, which is likely more expensive than your iPad itself.
