Street Fighter 25th Anniversary Box Set Has Pretty Much Everything a Fan Could Want

Street Fighter turns 25 this year, and Capcom's put together a big birthday box.

Street Fighter turns 25 this year, and while Capcom has been setting up events and promotions that will celebrate the series throughout the year, it feels like something's been missing. There hasn't been that single commemorative item that both fully encapsulates the Street Fighter franchise and symbolizes how important it's become to a whole subset of gamers...

How foolish of me to think that Capcom didn't have that covered. The publisher unveiled a massive 25th anniversary Street Fighter box set, which will go on sale on September 19th.

Available for Xbox 360 or PS3, the $150 set comes with 15 discs: Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix, Street Fighter 3 Third Strike Online Edition, Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition (plus DLC), and Street Fighter X Tekken (also with DLC), plus two full-length anime films, the entire Street Fighter cartoon series, a documentary, and what looks like all of the music produced for the franchise. Ever.

If that's not enough, it comes with Ryu's belt and a light-up statue of series' premiere wandering warrior.

That's a lot of Street Fighter folks. Then again, after 25 years it would be hard to expect anything less.
