Lindsay Lohan and Woody Allen (with his wife Soon-Yi) were spotted having dinner together at Philippe Chow over the weekend, which quickly lead to speculation that the famed director might be looking to cast her in a new film.

"Woody is feeling her out by taking her out to dinner to get to know her," a source told x17online. "He's considering building a character around her for an upcoming film."

Lindsay seems like someone Woody might take an interest in. In the past he's been known to find one actress and continue working with her for a handful of films. Scarlett Johansson, Mia Farrow and Diane Keaton are some of the actresses he's done this with.

And Lindsay does have some indie cred, appearing in legendary director Robert Altman's final film, "A Prairie Home Companion," in 2006.
