In the coming weeks, Sotheby’s will be auctioning one of the only 200 Apple I circuit boards ever made. Hand-built by Steve Wozniak and Steve Jobs back in 1976, it was Apple’s first product, sold out of Jobs’ parents house for $666.66 per. Sotheby’s expects it to go for anywhere between $120,000 and $180,000, so for the price of a new house, some lucky rich dude will also get the original instruction manual, the Apple I cassette interface, a BASIC programming manual, and a warranty…since it still works.
