Ubisoft is producing a new comic tie-in, Assassin's Creed: The Chain, to be released this fall, around the same time as Assassin's Creed III. The series will be penned and inked by Karl Kerschl and Cameron Stewart, the same duo who created the 2010 comic series, Assassin's Creed: The Fall.

A direct sequel The Fall, The Chain once again follows Nikolai Orelov, an Assassin caught up in the Russian Revolution, and his present-day descendant Daniel Cross who's viewing his story.

Just as The Fall tangentially linked to the the combined adventures of Ezio Auditore, The Chain will link to Assassin's Creed III somehow, though how and how remains unclear.

If you were a fan of The Fall or just want to soak up absolutely everything you can about the Assassin's Creed franchise, Ubisoft is already taking pre-orders for the book, if you're interested click right here.

Assassin's Creed III comes to America on October 30th.
