It took a while, but The Avengers has finally been knocked off top spot at the box office. Men in Black III claimed the No. 1 spot this weekend, opening with $55 million as opposed to The Avengers' $37 million earned this weekend.
Despite this, The Avengers has still performed pretty spectacularly in the box office - over $500 million has been earned, making it only one of four movies to ever earn half a billion domestically.
In other news, The Chernobyl Diaries opened with $8 million dollars. Sorry, guys.
