Because of recently released tax records, the severity of Mayor Bloomberg's choke-hold on the real estate game can be better appreciated. Dude has houses. Dude has 11 houses, to be exact. Last year he copped the 11th for almost $5 billion, an estate in North Salem. What will go down there? He bought it so his daughter will have more room to ride her horses.
There is a scene in Spike Lee's He Got Game where Jake Shuttlesworth asks a series of questions to his son, Jesus, about what he's going to do when he finds success as a professional basketball player. When Jake asks Jesus how many rooms the house he's going to buy for his mother will have, Jesus says, "As many as she want."
Mayor Bloomberg is thinking the same thing.
