A new Kick-Ass 2 update to end your day with: According to director Jeff Wadlow, the upcoming sequel to 2010's dark comedy superhero film will be more "emotional" and "pull from the serialized graphic novel sequel," as well as "feature [Chloë] Moretz dropping the Hit-Girl identity."

He tells TotalFilm: "It’s something I explore quite deeply in the movie because what happens in the comic is she sort of steps away from the story in many ways ... Her story is a major, major part of the film and she’s excited about the ideas and we’re in talks."

Though Moretz hasn't officially signed on to the film yet, we can't imagine her saying no to a film that is basically being revealed to revolve around her character. If she does, though, guess they're kind of screwed.
