In the wake of Avengers smashing box office records with the ferocity of a Hulk rampage, Collider has just posted an interesting bit of news regarding Edgar Wright's long-awaited Ant-Man movie for Marvel. On the director's Twitter this past weekend, he posted a mysterious looking teaser picture that is obviously a reference to the character of Ant-Man, who, in the comics, was one of the founding members of the Avengers. The picture was accompanied by this message, "Received this in the mail. What can it mean?"
This goes along with a quote from Marvel Studios President of Production, Kevin Feige, who said about Ant-Man recently:
It’s as close as it’s ever been. Edgar is getting excited to get behind the camera again and start some advanced prep work for Ant-Man… We are going to take some forward steps in a few months that will bring it closer than ever. In terms of release date, I don’t know.
Obviously, there is no real confirmation of anything happening yet, but the chances of an Ant-Man movie coming out might be higher, especially if the studio wants him to appear in an Avengers sequel. Check out the supposed teaser image below. Is this something that a die-hard fan simply sent him through the mail, or is it something more?
