Groupon may be teetering on the brink of financial ruin, but come the fall, it just might get the break it needs in the form of some mass exposure. CBS, America’s most-watched network, will debut the series, “Friend Me,” a show featuring former Complex cover star Chris Mintz-Plasse as one half of a pair of twenty-something best friends who move from Indiana to work at coupon site Groupon in Cali. One friend soaks up the Cali life while the other struggles to adjust.
Sound pretty meh, so hopefully Chris can make this thing good, despite CBS' best efforts.
