Motorola is now officially a Google company.
Google co-founder and CEO Larry Pageannounced today that the company has successfully closed its deal to buy Motorola Mobility after several months of regulatory filings, approval hearings and legal "I" dotting and "T" crossing. The Justice Departmant cleared the deal in February, and the Chinese gave their stamp of approval earlier this week.
The acquisition came with a $12.5 billion price tag, making it Google's biggest purchase ever.
