Karl Albrecht garnered national media attention last week after changing his new address to six feet under. The 88-year-old Albrecht, who passed away last month, wrote his own obituary in the fashion of a moving notice. He invited family to a celebration at his new place—a cemetery in Hamburg, Germany.
The announcement, featured in the Hamburger Abendblatt, stated, "I have moved house. My new address: Olhsdorf-Ruhewald cemetery, plot Bx 65/28C." Albrecht, who had been ill his entire life, asked his family to have the notice published. What a sense of humor on this guy.
