Yesterday, Connecticut became the 17th state to legalize medical marijuana. By sticking to a very strict bill, the state hopes to avoid the problems that California has experienced since their decision to legalize it. While medical marijuana remains federally prohibited, the new law aims to prevent anything that might be considered a red flag:

Connecticut will most likely stick to the script so as not to piss the federal government off, but other states offer medical marijuana as treatment for anxiety, depression, and insomnia. It's only a matter of time before a loophole is found.
