Plenty of students joke about their school burning down, but few have the opportunity to find out how they'd really feel if it happened. Well, this photo captures that awkward moment when a bunch of students celebrate as their school burns in the background. Officials at northern China’s Dalian University of Technology are quite pissed.
A fire began at a warehouse near the school’s dorms on Sunday, so students did what anyone would do in the midst of an evacuation—stop to take the greatest graduation photo of all time.
The students felt no remorse either, as the comedian who uploaded the photo said, “It’s too big of a coincidence to see the university on fire today, the students are filled with love in seeing the school burn.” How’s that for school spirit?
The school attempted to clap back with an image of students helping the fire department extinguish the blaze with water pistols, but there’s no way that beats kids celebrating as their school goes up in smoke.
