At a certain age, you should know whose advice you shouldn't follow. After a meeting with a fortune teller, Linda Clappison of East Yorkshire enslaved her children for six years. She went all the way in, taking their lightbulbs, mattresses, toys and even made two of them work as slaves.

It's strange, because Clappison's kids says she was a fine mothers before consulting the fortune teller. The abuse was discovered back in 2010 after her daughter broke down at school, begging teachers not to make her go home. Clappison allegedly denied the charges, calling her children "liars."

Clappison was convicted of two counts of child cruelty and sentenced to three years in prison. No word on why Clappison decided to take the fortune teller's advice, but it look where it landed her.
