Blizzard Offers Free Copies of "Diablo 3" to Players Whose Pre-orders Were Lost

Way to go, Good Guy Blizzard.

You may not be able to play Diablo 3 right now, but at least you can read about Blizzard throwing some fans a major bone.

When Australian retailer GAME filed for the Aussie equivalent of bankruptcy on Sunday, everyone who pre-ordered Diablo 3 was alerted that they would not be getting the game, and they certainly wouldn't be getting their money back.

GAME's attitude was essentially "too bad," but luckily, Blizzard stepped in and offered a free copy to anyone who saved their receipt from the store.

Head to Blizzard's forum post to find out how to get your free copy if you pre-ordered from GAME. Way to go, Blizzard, though we're guessing they can afford the losses, considering so many people bought the game that it's literally unplayable for most of them.

Is Blizzard only doing the right thing, or do you think they don't owe these customers anything? Let us know in the comments or on Twitter.
