A short video of a Beyond Good and Evil 2 environment tech demo has found its way to Youtube this week. The video was shown by creator Michel Ancel a French game conference last year, but never released to the public. A very shaky recording of the conference and the video was put online last year.
The video leak comes just after screens of the same environment popped up online.
Ancel has gone on the record saying that Beyond Good and Evil 2 will definitely be a next-gen game. "We don't say 2013 because we don't know when it will come. We're working to create a great game and it needs more tech," said Ancel. Just because they haven't said it will be released in 2013 yet doesn't mean it's impossible. The first next-gen console, the Wii U, will likely launch this fall.
With E3 approaching, it's hard to see the sudden surge of BGaE2 content as mere coincidence. We'll see what happens when Ubisoft takes the stage at their E3 Keynote next month.
