Bayonetta creator Hideki Kamiya wants to brighten your day. After rumors earlier this week claimed that Bayonetta 2 had been put on "indefinite hold", Kamiya took to twitter to sorta kinda ease fans' concerns. According to Kamiya, gamers interested in getting an update on Bayonetta 2 should check "next week's gaming magazines" for news.

Rumors about the Bayonetta sequel's cancellation began after gaming site Spong reported that the sequel was being put on hold in light of Sega's recent restructuring. Despite Kamiya's allusions to the fact that Bayonetta 2 is still in development, the site contends that the game has definitely been cancelled, and that Kamiya's tweets are a prank on his followers.

Do you think Bayonetta 2 is still in the works? Give us your predictions in the comments!
