NBC News reviewed the autopsy of Trayvon Martin today, which showed that the 17-year-old was killed by a single gunshot fired from "intermediate range." The Volusia, Fla., medical examiner also found another fresh injury—a quarter-inch abrasion—on his left ring finger.
A medical report prepared by George Zimmerman's personal physician showed that Zimmerman suffered two black eyes, cuts to his scalp and most likely a broken nose. The neighborhood watch volunteer killed Martin in Sanford, Fla., on Feb. 26, and the two reports seem to offer different accounts of what happened that night.
This new information is from 300 pages and 67 CD's worth of evidence, expected to made public soon. While the FBI may charge Zimmerman with a hate crime, he remains free and out of the public eye on $150,000 bail.
