As a part of a new promotion, Apple will begin making apps chosen as the "App of the Week" free for download in the App Store.
The first app to get the honor of being subsidized by Apple is a game called Cut the Rope: Experiments, which you can download now, gratis.
Another change to the App Store is the addition of a new "Editor's Choice" section for spotlighting some of the apps that have caught the Cupertino company's eye. Getting the EC treatment right now are Facebook's new Camera app and a game called Extreme Skater.
