It was just a little more than six months ago that Angry Birds announced it had reached half-a-billion downloads, but now the sensational mobile game has claimed the full billion.
Rovio announced today that it's high-flying app had achieved the milestone with a special animated video (above). Sales of the game got a shot in the arm earlier this year with the release of Angry Birds Space, the latest and most ambitious entry in the popular franchise. Angry Birds Space was downloaded over 50 million times in a little over a month.
