If you're an Amazon Prime member who also owns an Xbox 360, you now have all you need to stream thousands of movies and TV shows to your flatscreen. Amazonannounced today that its Amazon Instant Video service, which is free to all Prime members, is now available as an Xbox 360 app.
To get Amazon Instant Video on your Xbox, sign on to Xbox Live and download the free app. Once you log in with your Amazon account info, the 120,000 movies and TV episodes in the Amazon Instant Video catalog will be instantly available for streaming at no extra charge.
In addition, any video purchases or rentals you make with Amazon will now automatically show up in the Xbox app.
Coming to Xbox isn't the only way Amazon has been seeking to expand its Instant Video service— last week, they announced a deal to add Paramount's extensive back catalog to the services growing selection.
