Live from Orange County, Calif. Officials are astounded after U.S. Border Patrol Agents discovered about $3 million worth of marijuana floating in the Pacific, roughly 13 miles from the coast of Dana Point yesterday. The weed, wrapped in 160 bales and said to weigh between 7,000 and 8,000 pounds, was noticed by a boater.

Sheriff’s Lt. Joe Balicki said that a shipment that large would have to be transported by something larger than a ski-sized boat, which would’ve garnered some attention if it made a distress call. Authorities are baffled at how this much weed was just left there. Anyone lose something?

UPDATE: It was actually over 8,000 pounds and $4 million worth of weed. Wow.
