Quantum Conundrum is the first game from Kim Swift since she helped create Portal, so you might expect one of the game's central characters—Professor Fitz Quadwrangle—to be the next GLaDOS. On the contrary, he seems as good-natured as mad scientists get. Square Enix's announcement today that the character will be voiced by John De Lancie goes a long way in that direction.

De Lancie's previous work in games includes the angel Trias in Planescape: Torment and, more recently, William Miles in Assassin's Creed: Revelations, from which you may recognize him. In the video, he chats about his approach to the character and his favorite dimension—tellingly, perhaps, it's "fluffy".
