Google just put up this video of something it calls "Project Glass," which you may remember as the Terminator-style Heads Up Display glasses the company was reportedly working on back in February.

The video is just a demo of how the glasses might work if and when Google gets them into production, but it manages to be both impressive and realistic by extrapolating from the technology that we're already seeing in use today.

In the video, a wearer of the glasses wakes up in his apartment and goes for a walk in Manhattan while using them to do everything from checking the weather, to getting turn-by-turn directions, to setting reminders.

Google's X labs reportedly have a few prototypes currently in testing, some of which can be seen on Project Glass's new Google+ page.

“We think technology should work for you — to be there when you need it and get out of your way when you don’t,” the project's creators wrote. “We’re sharing this information now because we want to start a conversation and learn from your valuable input.”
