Plenty of cool tech companies allow their employees to blow off steam by applying their wild smarts to more fun pursuits. Google, for example, allows its employees to work on side projects. Dyson, on the other hand, allows its employees to build miniature drag racers using nothing but vacuum parts. The result is a bunch of badass, surprisingly fast racers. If the vacuum game ever slows up, Dyson should look into selling go karts and R/C cars. Look out, Tyco.
