If you need any more evidence that The Avengers is shaping up to be one of the biggest blockbusters of all time, Super Hero Hype is reporting that the ticket pre-sales for the movie have been bigger than all of Marvel's previous efforts combined, according to MovieTickets.com!
Avengers is currently selling 3,995% more tickets than Captain America; 1,034% more tickets than Thor; 114% more tickets than Iron Man 2; and 1,406% more tickets than Iron Man at the same point in the sales cycle. At this pace, the movie can potentially break the record for an opening weekend box office total, which is currently held by Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 with $169 million.
