The Rayman Origins sequel rumored from a marketing earlier this week has received an unexpected trailer, and apparently Ubisoft didn't see it coming any better than the rest of us.

The publisher has confirmed that the video for Rayman Legends is real, though it's also merely "a purely internal demonstrative video, and in NO way represents the final game, the final console or their features."

The statement continues, "This video was destined for internal production teams who often create game prototypes with work in progress development kits."

The trailer shows off the prospective new game's positively gorgeous graphics, as well as online and four-player co-op, mini games like battle soccer, and a Skylanders-like feature that would allow you to place objects on the Wii U's tablet controller that would then appear in game.

And yes, that's Ezio from Assassin's Creed they tease at the end.

Nothing in the video should be considered final. Would you welcome these new additions to the series? What about the return of the Raving Rabbids, who were absent from Rayman Origins? Tell us in the comments or on Twitter.
