Are you ready to "save your dream girl and the world as the raddest dude around"? Because Double Dragon: Neon didn't pack enough 80s nostalgia into our day, Saturday Morning RPG hit the Apple app store early this morning, synth soundtrack, weaponized keytar and herd of Fruit Stripe zebras included.

The game pays homage to the cartoons that every cool kid watched when they were a kid, with a generous helping of general 80s references thrown in for good measure. And it's free.

Check out the game's Kickstarter, which easily reached its goal of $6,000, coming to rest just over $10,000 thanks to a single generous donation of $3,000. For that, by the way, one lucky backer gets to appear in the game as a boss. We aren't far enough in the game to tell which one it is, or whether that'll happen in one of the game's planned later episodes.

Feeling as nostalgic today as we are? Give SMRPG a try and let us know what you think in the comments or on Twitter.
