Impatient Batman fans will no longer have to worry about when they will get their next Dark Knight Rises fix because Nolan Fans has broken the news that a brand-new trailer for the movie will debut in front screenings of Marvel's The Avengers on May 4. This will be our first new footage from the movie in months, and it will premiere right before arguably the biggest comic book film of the year.

Marvel and DC may be rivals when it comes to publishing comic books, but this move benefits both companies. Warner Brothers—-DC's parent company—will now have millions of people witness the latest Dark Knight Rises trailer as packed theaters wait for Avengers to start. Meanwhile, Marvel will benefit from curious Batman fans plunking down money for The Avengers just to see some new footage from the final chapter of Christopher Nolan'sDark Knight trilogy. It's a win-win.

Warner Brothers pulled a similar move back in 2008 when it attached a new trailer for The Dark Knight to Marvel's Iron Man. Iron Man went on to become one of the highest grossing movies of the year, while The Dark Knight went on to become one of the highest grossing of all time.
