Monolith Rumored To Be Working On "The Hobbit" Video Game Tie-Ins

The developers of "F.E.A.R." and "Gotham City Impostors" could be working on two "Hobbit" games.

It's no surprise that The Hobbit is becoming a game around the same time it's becoming a movie, but we're pleased to learn that the developers of F.E.A.R. and Gotham City Impostors, two high-quality titles, may be behind the adaptations.

IGN reports on a series of tweets from superannuation, "who has a credible record of unearthing secrets," that reveal that the studio's currently working on not one, but two Hobbit games: one to coincide with The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, and one for The Hobbit: There and Back Again.

The first game is said to be titled simply The Hobbit: Part One. Details are scarce, but superannuation does mention that Monolith now takes up the bulk of WB Games Seattle, since Lord of the Rings: War in the North developer Snowblind was recently gutted. So it's only natural they'd be developing both games.
