David Chang of Momofuku and Questlove of The Roots got into a battle over their fried chicken recipes, so last night, they took it to the set of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. Mad Men’s John Slattery, 30 Rock’s Tina Fey and Fallon’s announcer Steve Higgins all played judge for the competition that came equipped with requisite shit-talking. Chang even hurled a lyrical dart from “Liquid Swords”at Questlove.

At stake for Chang was a Questlove spread in the next issue of his magazine Lucky Peach and adding the drummer's chicken to the menu at Momofuku’s Noodle Bar location. However, if Questlove lost, he’d be forced to wash dishes, rock a cardboard lunch ad in front of Momofuku and shout Chang out on Twitter for a week.

Chang was victorious in the end, but still agreed to sell Questlove’s chicken, and all proceeds will be sent to the Food Bank of New York City. It sucks that Quest took an L on his home court, but at least the end result will help a good cause.
