Little Italy, mostly thought of as the least authentic Italian place ever, cannot shake it's Mafia ties. Federal documents recently unsealed allege that 11 members of the Geneovese Crime Family were shaking down vendors for cash at the San Gennaro festival in 2008. In other news, absolutely no one is surprised that: a. the primarily all-cash, weekend long festival has some kind of criminal element involved and b. Rudy Guiliani may have falsely declared the festival free of Mob influence in 1996.
